The short version

Your work time lives on your device. Focased has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.

On your device

Work sessions, manual adjustments, goals, and settings are stored locally on your Mac or iPhone. They are never transmitted anywhere. The Mac app measures only the time since your last keypress or mouse movement — it cannot see what you type or which apps you use.

Crews (optional)

If you join a crew, three things are sent to our server so your crew's leaderboard can exist: the nickname you choose, a random identifier created on your device, and your total worked time per day (a single number per day, for up to the last 14 days). Never your individual sessions, and never what you worked on. Crew data is stored with Supabase in the United States.

Leaving a crew deletes your data from the server. When the last member leaves a crew, the crew itself is deleted.
